Charraig) is a small country towns that makes a good base for exploring the
breathtaking coastline of southwestern Donegal, especially the stunning sea
cliffs at Slieve
League (Sliabh a'Liag).
This is lovely walking country, particularly if you don’t mind hoofing
up and down a few hills. The Sliabh Liag Walkers (http://www.sliabhliagwalkers.com)
have a graded walk (A, B or C) on the last sunday of each month), with a walking
fesitval held in September.
More tourist information is available from the cultural centre, Ionad Cultúrach
Sliabh Liag (Slieve League Cultural Centre; 973 9077; www.sliabhleague.com;
Teelin, Carrick), which also has a pleasant coffee shop. There are no banks.

Travelling by Bus:
Travelling by bus from Dublin, there is one main bus service available. Bus Éireann
takes you to Donegal Town, while connecting buses take you to Killybegs, Kilcar,
Carrick, and Glencolmkille.

Travelling by Car:
Travelling by car; from Dublin to Donegal, take either the N3 via Cavan or
the N4 via Mullingar. From Donegal town follow signs for Killybegs and then
Driving time from Dublin is 4 hours; Galway 4 hours & Belfast 3 hours.
The nearest airport is Carraig Fhinne in the North West of County Donegal some
fifty miles from Carrick. It is served by flights from Scotland and Dublin.
Eglinton airport (Derry airport) is served by services from Glasgow, Manchester
and London (Stansted).
The nearest international airports are based at Belfast, Knock and Dublin.
